Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

Lately, I'm beginning to have this obsession with make up products. Even more when I got the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay for my birthday. I don't have a lot of make up but I have enough to get me through the days in life. Well, like everyday make up.

A little information about the make up collection I have at the moment..I use mostly drugstore products. For one reason, I can't afford to splurge on higher end ones all the time BUT I still have some which I got from warehouse sales. Amen for warehouse sales seriously. Second of all, there are some which have good qualities.

But I remember the first big make up purchase I made was when I got my E.L.F make up products. You can read more about it here.

The E.L.F. eye shadow palette that I've got already hit pan for some colours. Mostly earthy tones. From that you can definitely tell that I wear mostly browns and anything earth tone. I rarely use other colours for my eyes other than the aqua blue or turquoise for lining my lower lash line to give me that pop of colour look.

But lately, I've been trying some reds. Well, more like maroon-ish colours. Still a little safe because it still has that brown undertone. So I guess, I haven't really step outta my comfort zone yet.

Anyway, I was playing around with my Naked 2 palette and created a look which I think is wearable for daytime and buildable to suit a night event.

STEPS
1. Suspect - put it all over your eyelid.
2. Snakebite - outer corner of the eye and blend into slightly above and half way across the crease. With a liner brush, sweep some on your bottom lash line halfway towards the inner corner of your eyes (towards tear duct)
3. Blackout - define the corner of your eye but hitting just right where the crease line is.
4. Half Baked - Tap some to the middle of your eyelid and blend it.
4. Verve - Line the inner corner of your eyes stopping halfway.
5. Finish off with black eye liner, stopping at the end of your eyes. Keep the line as thin as possible. (Or you can do a cat eye. But keep the line in the inner part thin)

I will be posting random make up looks in my blog. Somehow, I really enjoy playing around with make up and thought of sharing my thoughts and ideas about it with you girls (and guys?). It kinda motivates me to blog more actually.

It won't be a full fledged make up blog. I will still be updating about my daily life and random happenings. Just a little disclaimer.

How Does It Feel Like Being 21?

I just celebrated my 21st birthday a week ago. After watching Super Sweet 16 on MTV, I was kinda determine to make the most out of my big day however, everything went down the drain when I had to sit for my Taxation examination paper ON MY BIRTHDAY!

I spent the day before my birthday and the day before the day before of my birthday whining about how life is so shitty because I have a test on my birthday. I still do occasionally. As expected I burn and re-burn the midnight oil. No such thing but just my figure of speech. Studied until it is time for my paper and crashed on my bed by noon. Woke up for a big dinner with my extended family, stayed in my room surfing the net with my boyfriend and slept again.

It all went down really fast. Like, I felt that I haven't even celebrated my birthday yet! but my awesome friends made up for the missing celebration. I always thought that either I have a super big party and get pissed drunk or just a simple dinner with good company and a bad tummy ache from laughing too much. I always lean towards the second option.

I went down like a Titanic on my bed yet again. I don't usually go out from AM to AM so, that really figures. I spent early afternoon shopping in Midvalley while waiting for my lunch guests to arrive. After lunch, more walking until it was dinner time. Wanted to catch a movie before heading for dinner, but timing is being a bitch. So, ditched that idea. My indecisive self landed my boyfriend and I in Aldo shop 3 awkward times. Awkward in a sense that I go in, pick up the same two bags every bloody time and walk out shamelessly empty handed.

By dinner time, my legs ached real bad and I was having a slight headache but I was pretty determine to make the night a good one and a good one it was. Wish birthday girl got a shot of vodka lime. It is the better tasting alcohol concoction among the nastier ones I've tried. Mild taste and tipsy within a glass. I'm a lousy drinker but ace puke-ker.

Still, it doesn't answer the question. How does it feel like being 21?

I'll let you know by the end of 2012. In the mean time, I can finally start making use of my casino privilege. Just kidding.

Life goes on as usual :)

With that, I am marking this as a brand new start for whatever. Come what may. Carpe diem! I'll try blog more and of course, open up to the idea of sharing more stuff.

p/s : thank you for making my birthday a great one. you know who you are :)

Taking Another Break

So I kinda stopped blogging about my diet/fitness routine because I just figured, you can just log into youtube to check out the whole video.

Slacked a little during chinese new year. But I'm picking back the pace. I don't expect a miracle but in a couple of months or so, I do hope I will see the results that I want :)

I'm probably going to stop blogging for a while now. Until I do again, have a nice day :)

Come What May

Just started college a couple weeks back. It has been..hectic. Still trying to get used to my schedule. Life had a few changes in stored for me. Some of my close friends in college were in different classes. But thank god I had 3 familiar mates in my class so that makes it bearable.

So far, I'm not feeling my new classmates. Like, I am not really into mixing with them because for a fact, I am quite anti-social..actually, not really. I would just prefer people to approach me first and I'll just start from there. I am quite shy when it comes to approaching people. It's not just that, really. I just get bad vibes from them which I hope I am wrong because I am currently in the process of switching tutorial groups but the admin people just makes it look like an impossible fit to do, anyway, if that procedure fails, I'll be stuck with these people for the next 2 years until I graduate.

To top that off, I have to infuse taking early morning train rides to school into my daily routine or I have to beg my bro to wake up early to fetch me to school in any case that I either wake up late or am just plain lazy to take the train. But taking train rides does have its perks like having a cutie or two in the same carriage. So, I can't really complain about it :p

Till my next post :)

September Is Ben's Month!

My bro and I are dedicating the whole month of September to Ben because it is his birth month! Sadly, we don't have his exact birthday that's why everyday of September is Ben's birthday!

If that is so, he'd be probably freckkin' old old in doggy years. lols

He's excited for his daily walk.
He's been with us for 6 beautiful years. I am really grateful to have him in my life. Especially those moment of tiredness from college, I come home to this little furball, running excitedly towards me and basically just manja-ing with me the whole time I am giving him a belly rub or a scratch behind his ears.

A common sight when having a meal at the dining table.
He'd be starring at us or prodding our lap with his paws whenever we are eating at the dining table. Practically anywhere when food comes into the picture really. Without fail. EVEN AFTER he had his meals!

I Love car rides! :D
Normally, it is just to send him to the groom place. He is trained to hop on and off from the car and trot majestically (I kid) into the groom place without running off elsewhere like a loose dog.

Ben's =_= look.
Watch out for more of Ben in my blog! Till then :)

Busy....or Maybe Not?

I haven't been blogging for almost 3 months *nervous laugh* but here I am. at 4.30 a.m. In front of my laptop. Blogging.

I made some minor changes recently. Okay, maybe just ONE. I deleted the picture challenge because, come on, I was weeks late for a daily picture challenge. It didn't manage to keep my mojo going. Disappointed. meh.

But I decided to blog today because I have happy news to share with you guys. I am graduating diploma school! though my freedom is short lived because my advanced diploma just started. I know that getting a diploma is a piece of cake for some but for me, I wouldn't say that I am a brainiac, so it was quite a nail-biting moment for me after I had taken my final paper. I was so convinced that Business Finance is going to ruin my life. But thank god, it didn't. I PASSED!!

But the sad case is that some of my mates didn't make it. So it will kinda be a lonely year for me in Adv. Dip. :(

Harap-harap, The Avengers tidak dibubarkan as time goes. We copied the name for our gang name and it is just an inside joke kinda thing. I am The Black Widow. Asian version of course. Wish I was half as sexy as the real one though =/

On the love side of my life, I just celebrated my 2nd anniversary with my boyfriend about a couple of weeks back in a beautiful island...Bali. Which pretty much explains the number of uneven tan shapes I have on my body because I wear different cutting tops everyday. I had sun burns around my arms, thighs and shoulders!

The trip was a bliss not only am I in Bali, I also had my boyfriend all to myself for 6 days instead of the regular 2-3 days visit per month. But this only makes me miss him even more. The longer time I spend with him, the harder it is to say goodbye :(
But I'm happy that we made it this far considering that we are in a long distance relationship. He doesn't think of it as a long distance thing though because according to him, "Singapore is only 5 hours away from KL wut. Where got far?" He has a point.

Oh well *shrugs*

Next post, Bali! So, stay tune!! :D

Gunung Nuang

Spent last weekend hiking Gunung Nuang in Hulu Langat. We didn't exactly went all the way up. Just heading to Lolo waterfall.

The hike up is approximately 2 hours. Depending on your walking speed. As usual. I was out of breath but this time around my boyfriend joined us, so he kept me going. There were 12 of us. All of them are friends of my mom.

The trail there is surrounded bamboo plants. It is as if Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Yeoh will suddenly appear out of no where and sword fight each other. Literally like a scene from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I swear!

That is me feeling tortured.

Reached our first rest station after 30 minutes or so. I was sooo happy to see it. Then when I got closer, I saw BIG FAT mozzies and bees flying around. But really. I was too tired to even care. A lizard crossed my path. Usually, I would scream hell but like I said, I was too tired.

Reached the waterfall around...an hour and a half or so. There was this stone dock? with a lot of butterflies hovering around. BIG ONES. So purty and colourful. I WUUUUV!

Okay la. Truth is I was scared shitless of the big ones. Reminds me of moths *shudders* But looking at the from afar, it really looks like a magical scene. Sun hitting the pavement. Colourful fluttering.

Anyway, rested for a bit before continue hiking higher towards the waterfall. It isn't really a big waterfall. Just a small one though.

When I saw the water, I immediately took of my shoes and stinky socks and dip my feet into the ice cold water. Bliss.....

my favourite picture

I didn't want to get my clothes wet because I was lazy to change. But my dad kept throwing stones into the water next to me, it splashed and hit me =.=

When I turned around, he did the classic look-up-sky-I-don't-know-anything look!

I got my revenge later. bwahahaha

Thanks for reading :)
