Lately, I'm beginning to have this obsession with make up products. Even more when I got the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay for my birthday. I don't have a lot of make up but I have enough to get me through the days in life. Well, like everyday make up.
A little information about the make up collection I have at the moment..I use mostly drugstore products. For one reason, I can't afford to splurge on higher end ones all the time BUT I still have some which I got from warehouse sales. Amen for warehouse sales seriously. Second of all, there are some which have good qualities.
But I remember the first big make up purchase I made was when I got my E.L.F make up products. You can read more about it here.
The E.L.F. eye shadow palette that I've got already hit pan for some colours. Mostly earthy tones. From that you can definitely tell that I wear mostly browns and anything earth tone. I rarely use other colours for my eyes other than the aqua blue or turquoise for lining my lower lash line to give me that pop of colour look.
But lately, I've been trying some reds. Well, more like maroon-ish colours. Still a little safe because it still has that brown undertone. So I guess, I haven't really step outta my comfort zone yet.
Anyway, I was playing around with my Naked 2 palette and created a look which I think is wearable for daytime and buildable to suit a night event.
STEPS
1. Suspect - put it all over your eyelid.
2. Snakebite - outer corner of the eye and blend into slightly above and half way across the crease. With a liner brush, sweep some on your bottom lash line halfway towards the inner corner of your eyes (towards tear duct)
3. Blackout - define the corner of your eye but hitting just right where the crease line is.
4. Half Baked - Tap some to the middle of your eyelid and blend it.
4. Verve - Line the inner corner of your eyes stopping halfway.
5. Finish off with black eye liner, stopping at the end of your eyes. Keep the line as thin as possible. (Or you can do a cat eye. But keep the line in the inner part thin)
I will be posting random make up looks in my blog. Somehow, I really enjoy playing around with make up and thought of sharing my thoughts and ideas about it with you girls (and guys?). It kinda motivates me to blog more actually.
It won't be a full fledged make up blog. I will still be updating about my daily life and random happenings. Just a little disclaimer.
